Well this is proabably the last chance for me to say I won't be around till August. I'm off to holiday, vacation, whatever you call it.

Just some bad news about that. My relatives which were going to meet up with during the holiday proabably can't come. My cousins grandmother burned part of her house down so they're trying to sort out that with a large amount of difficulty. A shame, but it can't be helped.

Still haven't decided where we're going to sail to, so we're proabably just going to choose on each day. No problem with that, just as long as we get back in time for the flight home!

So yeah, loads of pics hopefully when I get back. Later.

p.s. I just noticed that this will be my last ever journal on this account as a suscriber. Last even image enhancement and molarkey.. Oh well.

Greece
I'll be disappearing for 2 weeks starting Monday 17th. During this time you'll not see anything from me but I'm sure I'll have some great stuff to show you when I get back. Since I'm bare boating in the Ionian Sea (going it alone with family, wherever we want), I should have a varied amount of shots for you.

At the moment I definitely know that I'll be in Corfu, Lefkas and probably Prevaza. We'll be stopping off somewhere new every day which means fresh new photo opportunities!

Can't wait to be in Lefkas again, where I hope to be on my birthday. Every time we visit a particular restaurant there, the owner always remembers us. It's comforting that although we are only there once or twice every 2 years, we are somewhat remembered. If I remember right his daughter goes to University here in Scotland, Stirling if I'm right..

Concerning the living conditions - somehow we managed to get a brand new 40 ft yacht for the price of a 20ft. It's a bit large for what we need, and I mean LARGE! But since we got it cheap from a person we know, let's just say it will be roomy - and fast.

In total we should have about 7 people with us – my family and also our Greek relatives. We aren't quite sure if they are coming this year, but I'm optimistic that they wouldn't miss going sailing with us again.

Cameras
Some of you are aware that concerning my photography, I believe strongly that it's the photographer that makes the picture - not the camera. Nonetheless, I have been thinking strongly about going full fledge into the Digital SLR Field. I've been finding that my current tools are limiting me a fair amount (the telephoto lens thing on this camera sucks!). So I picked up my August version of Practical Photography and browsed around. This is when I found something intriguing. The Pentax *ist DL2 with standard kit lens. The one thing that brought me to this camera is it's price - £349.99 with lens. Now it's not too bad. I'm going to look into it, as I don't want to follow the majority and get a Canon EOS 350D, even though they are well made.

DeviantART account - IMPORTANT
I'm thinking of moving to a different account in August. This is mainly because of my, and others, overall disgust and crappiness of my current name. So I’ve created one which is a bit more relevant to my current info. I do it now because my subscription is ending the day after I go on holiday, so I won't miss it. The new one will have the subscription, and they'll be no turning back.

I will add all of you who I find interesting and friends. I'm sorry if I do not add you but with ever changing interests I may/may not like what you have to offer.

Drawing
Whoah, I’ve been busy. I have been supposed to be practicing for my AH Art - sketching up a load of different work so we have examples, but I have not. I've been practicing on my drawing in more cartoony like ways - In both comic style and a little anime. I'm still crap as hell drawing hands and feet - but only practice will get rid of that. I also need to work on expressions. I’ve been really inspired by what I’ve seen in the Grand Theft Auto 3 poster I have on my wall and some comic artists I’ve seen on the web. Have a little looksey at some of my inspiration and work near my desk below.

So I managed to persuade my computing teacher to unblock dA from the school's iGear content blocking thinghy. Damn awesome.

Anyways - I'll soon have some stuff up for the makebeleive company called EcoZon. My art teacher dosen't exactly know about what I have to do so at the moment I've decided to keep to a particular topic - a company interested in preserving the rainforest. Fairly simple.

So at the moment it's just identity formation - I've created the logo which is kinda cool. I've made 3 different variations and it might be good for you to vote on which one I should use. I made the business card yesterday and I have no idea what I'm going to be doing today (next period). Need to print out the business card but hell, that won't take more than 5 mins - even on a G3 Power Mac (slooowww as helll - and 192 mb RAM!)

At this rate I woud've finished the design before the end of the term! Well, mabye not.
